Try us out without obligation

You are invited to a free taster session of the London City Chorus, followed by a free social and drinks with choir members to talk to choir members and find out more about our choir.

 

City Chorus is a friendly, hard working choir, open to all with no audition. We rehearse on Tuesday evenings in the city and perform several times a year in beautiful venues.

 

Our musical director is Paul Ayres and our accompanist (piano and organ) is Philip Shannon. Our concerts feature top professional musicians.

 

We are looking for new singers.

 

Some choral singing experience and music reading ability is advantageous, but not essential. All works are thoroughly rehearsed and sound files are available to help you learn the music. There is no requirement to sing solo. We invite anyone to experience the joy that singing and performing can bring, in a friendly and supportive environment.

Come and try it out to experience it yourself with no obligation to commit to the whole term.

Join City Chorus in singing a wide variety of music, in preparation for a Christmas Concert in December and a performance of Michael Haydn's Requiem and Vivaldi's Gloria in the spring. Subscription costs for 2025,

including two tickets for each concert:

Full member: £262 for the 2025 year, £120 for the spring term

Concessionary member: £193 for the 2025 year, £84 for the spring term

 

We encourage all members who can afford it to pay the full subscription rates as City Chorus is a charity and we fund ourselves.  A concessionary rate is available for those of limited means who would find the full rates unaffordable.  This may include those in low paid jobs at the start of their working lives, those not in work, or those on means tested benefits.
