Rehearsals are held from 6.15pm to 8.15pm on Tuesdays in the City of London

  • We also live-stream our rehearsals for the first part of each term on Zoom - joining details are shown on the weekly email.

  • Spring term 2023:

    • Spring Term 2023 runs from Tuesday 3 January until 28 March 2023 at St Andrew Holborn at 6.15 - 8.15pm

    • Our open evening for new singers is on 17th January at St Andrew Holborn at 6.15pm - all welcome

    • We will rehearse material for both our Spring and our Summer Term concerts this term:  

      • The spring concert will include Fauré - Cantique de Jean Racine, Mozart - Ave Verum, Ayres - We’ll Play Our Part, and Lauridsen - Sure on this shining night

      • The summer concert will include Lotti - Crucifixus, Haydn - Kleine Orgelmesse, Byrd - Ave verum, Elgar - False love, Elgar - Lullaby, Stanford - Quick we have but a second, Rutter - Gaelic Blessing, and MacMillan - O Radiant Dawn

  • Spring workshop: at St Mary Moorfields on Saturday 4 March  - all welcome

  • Spring Concert in London at St Giles Cripplegate with Eén van Zin (a choir from near Eindhoven in the Netherlands) on Saturday 29 April

  • Summer term 2023​

    • Summer Term 2023 runs from Tuesday 18 April to 4 July 2023 with rehearsals at St Andrew Holborn, except for 18th and 25th April when we will rehearse at St Giles Cripplegate

    • Spring concert "return visit" to perform with the Eén van Zin choir at Dommelhuis of Breughel en Son, a village near Eindhoven, on Saturday 20 May 2023.

    • Summer concert at St Andrew Holborn at 7.30 p.m. on 7 July 2023.

  • Autumn term 2023

    • Autumn Term runs from Tuesday 5 September to 5 December 2023

    • Christmas concert at St Andrew Holborn at 7.30 p.m. on 8 December 2023.

  • Covid:

    • No-one should attend if they are unwell, specifically if they have Covid symptoms; have tested positive for Covid and are within their isolation period; or have been told by NHS Track & Trace to self-isolate.​​​​​​

City Chorus is a friendly, hard working choir, open to all with no audition. We rehearse on Tuesday evenings in the city and perform several times a year in beautiful venues.


Our musical director is Paul Ayres and our accompanist (piano and organ) is Philip Shannon. Our concerts feature top professional musicians.


We are looking for new singers.
