Rehearsals

Rehearsals are held from 6.15pm to 8.15pm on Tuesdays in the City of London, mostly at St Andrew Holborn, EC4A 3AF.​

  • ​​​Autumn term 2024

    • The Summer Term runs from Tuesday 3 September to Tuesday 3 December​

    • Programme (in running order):

    • Members are asked to bring their copies of Carols for Choirs 1

    • Rehearsals are at St Andrew Holborn, except for 19th November when we rehearse at St Giles Cripplegate.

    • The Christmas concert will be on Friday 6 December 2024 at St Andrew Holborn.

  • Spring term 2025

    • The Spring Term runs from Tuesday 7 January to Tuesday 25 March 2025​

    • Programme: Requiem (Michael Haydn) and Gloria (Vivaldi).

    • We expect that there will be a Saturday workshop early in the term

    • Rehearsals are mostly at St Andrew Holborn.

    • The Spring concert will be on Friday 28 March 2025 at St Andrew Holborn and the choir will be accompanied by an orchestra.

  • Summer and Autumn terms 2025

    • The Summer Term runs from Tuesday 1 April to Tuesday 1 July 2025.  The Easter break means no rehearsal on 15 or 22 April.​

    • The Autumn Term runs from Tuesday 2 September to Tuesday 2 December 2025

    • Programme: tbc.

    • Rehearsals are mostly at St Andrew Holborn.

    • The Summer concert will be on Friday 4 July 2025, and the Christmas concert will be on 5th December 2025, both at St Andrew Holborn

City Chorus is a friendly, hard working choir, open to all with no audition. We rehearse on Tuesday evenings in the city and perform several times a year in beautiful venues.

 

Our musical director is Paul Ayres and our accompanist (piano and organ) is Philip Shannon. Our concerts feature top professional musicians.

 

We are looking for new singers.
